One8 and Educurious are excited to continue our Investigating History professional learning series for 2024-2025! In this institute, we will be exploring Unit 2 and deepening our practice around Investigating Sources.

Registration Overview for October Institutes:
In our October professional learning sessions, we will be offering two strands of learning: one for teachers new to Investigating History and one for returning teachers. New teachers will spend the day unpacking Unit 2 and building their understanding of the arc of the unit. Returning teachers will spend their day engaging with the texts students encounter in Unit 2 and building up their strategies for supporting all students in accessing grade level texts.

What should I bring?
Please bring a charged laptop that can access the internet on hotel wi-fi. You will receive printed materials at the session.
What will I eat?
We will provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack.
What if I’m coming from far away?
Hotel accommodations will be provided for all interested participants traveling from districts more than 70 miles away from the Four Points in Norwood. A limited number of hotel rooms will also be available to participants traveling from districts more than 50 miles away, and can be requested and confirmation will be sent to participants.
What does it cost?
One8 and DESE awarded grants to districts that allow them to invest in your professional learning by making it possible for you to attend these institutes. Want to know if you’re a grant-funded district? Click here!
