Apply for a fully-funded Project-Based Learning online workshop opportunity! January 27th & 29th, 2022
Educurious invites educators to apply for a unique professional development opportunity. This workshop will be facilitated entirely online. Educurious will share our newly developed unit Pa’lante: Onward With Art. Students will draw on the vast primary source materials of the Library of Congress to explore Latinx history. With a focus on Puerto Rican Afro-Latinx voices and perspectives, students learn about the social and political injustices that civil rights activists confronted through art in the 1900s and today. As a final project, students create a poster series that highlights the culturally significant events of resistance within the Puerto Rican community aimed to educate and inspire others to take informed action on issues of rights and justice.
